John Rosario Krishnan.C, DECE., AMIE.
Praise the Lord, I was born and brought up in an orthodox Hindu family in Dharmapuri district in Tamilnadu. I was strictly brought up in all the tradition and rituals of our religion at the very tender age as the result in due course of time it because part and parcel of my life. I never started my days without worshipping. At the age of 14 I lost my mother that brought a heavy shock in my life. After the completion of my schooling I joined Indian Army at the age of 20. Through it brought a temporary relieve I always felt the loneliness in my life.
The real problem started when I wanted to marry. Since, the Lord’s plan was different he blocked all the doors as the result I could not get any suitable partners so I dared to marry any one of my community family. I agreed to marry the girl intending to change her religion after the marriage. This daring decision brought great commotion in my own family and society and confusion in my in lows family and every one because every after that event. This made me so rude and aggressive towards any innocent wife. Who because in mentally ill. I started forcing her to follow Hinduism and forefeet Christianity.
During the tenure of my service my Signal Regiment was nominated and dispatched to Sri Lanka as Indian Peace keeping force. In Sri Lanka the biggest Library was bombed and the Library got fire, that burnt many valuable books. Since, we were assigned to reconstruct the Library; we were cleaning the materials amidst the ashes. The Lord enabled me to find a New Testament. As I started reading the Bible the Lord began to speck with through the verse Matt – 6:33 “……. Seek ye first the Kingdom………..shall be added”. And on the consequent days I was assigned to prepare the Radio equipments and batteries. I was busy in my work and the guards were at the Gate whereas the rest of my Regiment were sleeping in the mid-night I heard a thunderous sound and a big bellow of fire and I understood it was a bomb blast. At once I cried unto the Lord Jesus Christ to save all of us. The Lord heard my prayer and saved us. This incident confirmed that the Lord Jesus Christ is the true saviour. So, I committed my life to him and I was baptized in water later on.
During our stay in Lucknow, we used to attend the A.G. Church. Where I got the fellowship of Bro.M.Raj Kumar who is a Bivocational mission and Bro.Pramod Kumar my fellow man, helped me to become strong in the word also to involve in the evangelism. This basic training paved a way for the soul wining and aslo enabled me to find the Lord's plan in my life. I understand the foreknowledge of God now. After completing 21 years of service in Indian Army, I took voluntary retirement as Junior commission officer in the year 2000. We are now settled in Dharmapuri. God blessed me with a nice wife who has been my moral support and also we are blessed with two sons. The elder one Raju who is already in the youth ministry also shoulder my ministry of evangelism and building up church groups. the younger one Prem is in his final year schooling. Amen
